Get Involved: Volunteer at the Garden

COVID-19 Update (January 2021)
This spring we anticipate being able to welcome volunteers back to the garden! COVID-specific volunteering practices include hand-washing, physical distancing, masking as appropriate, and symptom monitoring - all of which we will explain in detail via email and in-person at the garden.

Since we are able to host a limited number of people in the space at a time, please email us at garden@theworkingcentre.org to join our volunteer mailing list and coordinate a time.

Come join in!  The Working Centre Market Garden is a thriving 1.5 acre garden that offers an inclusive, hands-on learning environment where we work together to learn and share knowledge about sustainable food production.

Volunteer gardeners will want to come prepared with appropriate footwear and clothing, reusable water bottle, hat, as well as a snack or lunch.  We have sunscreen, gloves, and rubber boots to share if you don't have your own.  The garden is open rain or shine, though you may want to call ahead if the weather is questionable.
