Little Fields Farm – While maintaining a role in shaping the Working Centre’s gardening projects, Adam is excited to be joining Farmer Claire at Little Fields Farm for the season ahead! CSA shares of vegetables and flowers, as well as eggs, pork, beef, chicken, and mushrooms are currently on sale, with weekly or bi-weekly pick-up options on Saturdays at Café Pyrus Outpost in Waterloo. Littlefoot Community Projects – In addition to her role at the Working Centre, Vanessa operates Littlefoot Community Projects with her partner Dan. Their work focuses on using a food justice lens to address the root causes of food insecurity in Kitchener-Waterloo. Fertile Ground Farm – Angie, Lara, and the folks at Fertile Ground Farm have been pillars of our local farming community for 15 years! Sign-ups for their 2022 CSA shares will be open to the general public soon. Lucky Bug Farm – Want to support an incredible, woman-led, and Black-owned small-scale farm? After spending a season incubating her business in Hillsburgh, Aliyah is expanding her operation for the 2022 season at a new location near Baden. Nith Valley Organics – On their farm near Plattsville, Nathan, Aleta, and their talented staff produce consistently abundant certified organic vegetables, as well as eggs, chicken, and pastured lamb. You can presently find their produce and meat at the Kitchener Market on Saturdays (visit their online store to pre-order!) and they also run a CSA with a Kitchener pick-up for much of the year.
