Continue play a role supporting the livelihoods of small-scale farmers in Waterloo Region and beyond! Little Fields Farm – While maintaining a role in shaping the Working Centre’s gardening projects, Adam is excited to be joining Farmer Claire at Little Fields Farm for the season ahead! CSA shares of vegetables and flowers, as well as eggs, pork, beef, chicken, and mushrooms are currently on sale, with weekly or bi-weekly pick-up options on Saturdays at Café Pyrus Outpost in Waterloo. Littlefoot Community Projects – In addition to her role at the Working Centre, Vanessa operates Littlefoot Community Projects with her partner Dan. Their work focuses on using a food justice lens to address the root causes of food insecurity in Kitchener-Waterloo. Nith Valley Organics – On their farm near Plattsville, Nathan, Aleta, and their talented staff produce consistently abundant certified organic vegetables, as well as eggs, chicken, and pastured lamb. You can presently find their produce and meat at the Kitchener Market on Saturdays (visit their online store to pre-order!) and they also run a CSA with a Kitchener pick-up for much of the year.
